Grants policy
Millfield House Foundation supports initiatives which tackle poverty, disadvantage and exclusion, and promote social and economic change, in the North East of England, particularly Tyne and Wear.
We do this by funding groups which carry out policy-related research or campaigns to inform debate and to promote change on local social issues and public policy.
“We consider MHF the region’s premier supporter of giving a voice to excluded groups to inform discussion and influence public policy and attitudes”
Bini Tesfai-Araia, Chair, Regional Refugee Forum North East.
If you intend applying for a grant –
- Be sure that what you propose would be legally charitable. To check the Charity Commission guidance 'Speaking Out - Guidance on Political Activity and Campaigning by Charities', see Guide for applicants for contact details.
- Check that your project fits with what MHF will consider. If you are not certain whether your project qualifies for a grant from MHF, don't send an application but seek clarification from the Administrator.
- Refer to Guide for applicants before making an application.
